Krista Audere is a Latvian conductor based in the Netherlands. She is currently conductor of the VU-Kamerkoor and Kamerkoor Venus, and is regularly invited as a guest conductor by leading radio choirs across Europe. Since 2024, she has been the main subject teacher of Choral Conducting at the Royal Conservatoire The Hague.
Audere was appointed Principal Guest Conductor of the Swedish Radio Choir in 2025, becoming the ensemble’s first conductor to hold this title.
From the 2027/28 season, she will take up the position of Chief Conductor of The Swedish Radio Choir. In 2028, she will also succeed Daniel Reuss as Artistic Leader and Chief Conductor of Cappella Amsterdam.
Audere is the winner of the 2021 Eric Ericson Award.
In the 2026/27 season, her engagements include collaborations with the Swedish Radio Choir, Bavarian Radio Choir, Danish National Vocal Ensemble, Berlin Radio Choir, NDR Vokalensemble, Coro Casa da Música, and the BBC Singers.
Born in 1989, Audere graduated from Riga Dom Choir School, where she trained as a choir master and choral singer. She went on to study choral conducting at the Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music, alongside further musical studies at the University of Music and Performing Arts Stuttgart. In 2016, she completed her Master’s degree cum laude at the Amsterdam University of the Arts. As a singer, she has collaborated with both the Latvian Radio Choir and Cappella Amsterdam.
Alongside her conducting career, Audere is a sought-after jury member at conducting and choral competitions and regularly gives masterclasses on choral conducting.
Krista Audere is een Letse dirigente, gevestigd in Nederland. Momenteel is zij dirigent van het VU-Kamerkoor en Kamerkoor Venus en treedt zij regelmatig op als gastdirigent bij vooraanstaande radio- en omroepkoren in heel Europa. Sinds 2024 is zij tevens hoofdvakdocent Koordirectie aan het Koninklijk Conservatorium Den Haag.
In 2025 werd Audere benoemd tot de allereerste Principal Guest Conductor van het Zweeds Radiokoor.
Vanaf het seizoen 2027/28 wordt zij chef-dirigent van het Zweeds Radiokoor.
In 2028 volgt zij bovendien Daniel Reuss op als artistiek leider en chef-dirigent van Cappella Amsterdam.
Audere is winnaar van de Eric Ericson Award 2021.
In het seizoen 2026/27 staan onder meer samenwerkingen met het Zweeds Radiokoor, het Beiers Radiokoor, het Danish National Vocal Ensemble, het Rundfunkchor Berlin, het NDR Vokalensemble, Coro Casa da Música en de BBC Singers op haar agenda.
Audere werd in 1989 geboren en studeerde af aan de Riga Dom Choir School, waar zij werd opgeleid tot koordirigent en koorzanger. Vervolgens studeerde zij koordirectie aan de Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music en verdiepte zij haar muzikale opleiding aan de Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Stuttgart. In 2016 behaalde zij cum laude haar masterdiploma aan de Amsterdamse Hogeschool voor de Kunsten. Als zangeres werkte zij samen met het Lets Radiokoor en Cappella Amsterdam.
Naast haar werk als dirigente wordt Audere regelmatig gevraagd als jurylid bij directie- en koorcompetities en geeft zij masterclasses koordirectie.
Krista Audere ir latviešu diriģente, kas dzīvo un strādāNīderlandē. Pašlaik viņa ir VU-Kamerkoor un Kamerkoor Venus diriģente, kā arī regulāri tiek aicināta par viesdiriģenti pie vadošajiem Eiropas radio koriem. Kopš 2024. gada viņa ir arī Kordiriģēšanas docente Hāgas Karaliskajā konservatorijā.
2025. gadā Audere tika iecelta par Zviedrijas Radio korapirmo galveno viesdiriģenti.
Sākot ar 2027./2028. gada sezonu, viņa kļūs par Zviedrijas radio kora galveno diriģenti. Savukārt 2028. gadā viņa pārņems arī Cappella Amsterdam mākslinieciskās vadītājas un galvenās diriģentes amatu, nomainot Danielu Reusu.
Audere ir 2021. gada Eric Ericson Award laureāte.

1989. gadā dzimusī Audere absolvējusi Rīgas Doma kora skolu,kur ieguvusi kordiriģentes un kora dziedātājas kvalifikāciju. Pēc tam viņa studējusi kora diriģēšanu Jāzepa Vītola Latvijas Mūzikas akadēmijā, vienlaikus papildinot savas muzikālās zināšanas un pieredzi Štutgartes Mūzikas un skatuvesmākslas universitātē. 2016. gadā viņa ar izcilību (cum laude) ieguva maģistragrādu Amsterdamas Mākslu universitātē. Kā dziedātāja viņa ir sadarbojusies ar Latvijas Radio kori un Cappella Amsterdam.
Līdztekus diriģentes darbībai Audere regulāri tiek aicināta par žūrijas locekli diriģēšanas un koru konkursos, kā arī vada meistarklases kora diriģēšanā.
